Our Story
Futuro Imaginado began with a simple idea: Spanish learners move faster when the path is minimal, clear, and measured. We built courses that reduce friction, increase speaking opportunities, and show progress every week.
We don’t chase novelty for its own sake. We refine the essentials: what learners actually use when they speak, how they remember it, and how to prove it’s improving. The result is a calm learning system with high signal-to-noise, built around measurable outcomes and humane pacing.
Mission
Make Spanish accessible through a minimalist, evidence-driven methodology that turns effort into visible progress. Every learner deserves a clear path, honest feedback, and a weekly rhythm that fits real life.
Principles
- Minimalism: keep only what helps you speak and think in Spanish.
- Clarity: every session has a concrete, testable goal.
- Consistency: short, frequent practice beats long, rare sprints.
- Evidence: we publish outcomes and hold ourselves accountable.
- Respect: language is personal; our feedback is precise, kind, and actionable.
Methodology
Our learning design blends micro-goals, deliberate practice, and frequent speaking. Instead of adding more content, we shape a stable loop: prepare → speak → get targeted feedback → repeat with small increases in difficulty.
- Weekly objectives mapped to CEFR-aligned communicative tasks.
- Short drills for pronunciation, verb control, and high-frequency structures.
- Guided conversation with constraints (so practice stays focused and measurable).
- Feedback that separates correctness, clarity, and naturalness.
- Simple progress notes that track what changed, not just what was “covered”.
Timeline
Research & first micro-groups
Researching learner bottlenecks and piloting micro-group sessions. The focus was on reducing cognitive overload, increasing speaking time, and keeping feedback specific enough to act on immediately.
Team
We’re a small team built around clarity: curriculum designers, Spanish instructors, and learning ops working together in one system. Our instructors teach with the same structure they helped refine, so the experience stays consistent across levels and formats.
- Instruction: speaking-first sessions with calm, precise correction.
- Curriculum: CEFR-aligned tasks, high-frequency language, and constraint-based practice.
- Assessment: short checks that measure what matters in real conversation.
- Support: clear expectations, scheduling consistency, and transparent outcomes.
